Inspection Section
TThe Inspection Section of Building Permits & Inspections
is comprised of Residential Inspections, Commercial Inspections
and Building Safety and Enforcement.
Field inspectors obtain compliance with the various codes and
ordinances by inspecting all of the various disciplines – electrical,
mechanical, plumbing, landscaping, engineering and life safety.
The inspectors are responsible for both residential and commercial
structures.
The Housing
Compliance Section ensures the public health, safety
and welfare as related to the continued occupancy and maintenance
of structures and premises.

To request an inspection, there are two options
available to you:
- Spring 2007 IVRS (Interactive Voice Recording System)
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Phone: 915-541-4700

- Fax: 541- 4815
Same day inspection requests must be requested
prior to 7:30 a.m.
Notification of Cancellation of an inspection must be prior
to 9 a.m.
Permits and Approved Plans MUST be on site at all times throughout
the construction/modification phase. Finalized plans MUST be
on site for the day of inspection.
During the course of the construction/modification, Field Inspectors
will visit your site. They check to make sure that the final
plans, authorized by the city, are being followed.
