Inspection Section
The Inspection Section of Building Permits & Inspections
is comprised of Residential Inspections, Commercial Inspections
and Building Safety and Enforcement.
Field Inspectors confirm compliance with the various codes and
ordinances by inspecting all of the various disciplines – building, electrical,
mechanical, plumbing, landscaping, engineering and life safety.
The inspectors are responsible for both residential and commercial
structures.
The Housing
Compliance Section ensures the public health, safety
and welfare as related to the continued occupancy and maintenance
of structures and premises.

To request an inspection, use the IVR system:

Same day inspection requests must be requested
prior to 7:30 a.m.
Notification of Cancellation of an inspection must be prior
to 9 a.m.
Permits and Approved Plans MUST be on site at all times throughout
the construction/modification phase. Finalized plans MUST be
on site for the day of inspection.
During the course of the construction/modification, Field Inspectors
will visit your site. They check to make sure that the final
plans, authorized by the city, are being followed.

Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Fire Department - Plan Review
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
