Riders who traditionally unload or board buses at the temporary Franklin Avenue boarding location soon will be able to enjoy a modern and spacious facility at the new Downtown Transfer Center.
The center, which features an enclosed waiting area with cooling and heating conveniences, will have real-time information displays to help riders time their trips instantly, large shade canopies, a store front, a ticket vending machine and other amenities including free Wi-Fi.
In addition to the various services, the $8 million center will house an impressive restaurant space giving Sun Metro riders a chance to grab a bite to eat or drink while waiting for buses or friends.
