Borderland Road Improvement Project, Phase VII
Efforts targeting the complete renovation of Boderland Rd. from Modesta Rd. to Pascal St. will initiate late this April with expected completion in October. Among the improvements incorporated in this initiative are:
- New ADA compliant sidewalks with standard curb and gutter and driveways
- Installation of new storm sewer system
- New roadway pavement
Upper Valley Drainage Improvement Project, Phase IV
Construction activities as part of the fourth and final phase of the Upper Valley Drainage Improvement Project will initiate in May with expected completion in February 2011. The project will provide various enhancements along Lindbergh Ave. from Montoya Rd. to Charl Ann St. and on Equestre St. from Redd Rd. to Mulberry Ave.
Featured improvements as part of this effort consist of:
- New ADA compliant sidewalks with standard curb and gutter and driveways
- Replacement of existing structures at the Montoya Drain to include adjustments to existing utility lines
- New roadway pavement
- Installation of traffic calming measures, signage and striping
Oregon Street Rehabilitation
The Oregon Street Rehabilitation Project will also commence in May 2010 with expected completion in August of 2011. The project consists of substantial improvements on Oregon St. from Wyoming Ave. to the New York Canal near the Don Haskins Center
Construction Highlights:
- Work will begin on south end of Oregon St. and will proceed north
- Only 2-3 blocks will be closed at a time
- Driveways will be accessible throughout construction
