City Departments Prepare for 4/10 Work Week

Beginning May 3, 2010 several City departments will be changing their operational hours as part of a 4/10 work week program that is saving the City an estimated $213,000 over a five month period. The program will work as follows:

Monday, May 3, 2010 to Friday, October 1, 2010

Monday through Thursday schedule (closed on Fridays)

Operating hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

City of El Paso, TxDOT Embark in Operations Plan for Ports of Entry

The City of El Paso and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are undertaking a new effort called the Regional Ports of Entry Operations Plan, the City of El Paso International Bridges Department announced.

The Regional Ports of Entry Operations Plan focuses on how to best utilize existing border crossings in the El Paso-Juárez metropolitan area – from Santa Teresa, New Mexico to Tornillo/Guadalupe – in an effort to facilitate international travel and trade.   Read More...
