Update: No Trucks on Left Lane
In keeping with the continual effort to increase driver safety and mitigate traffic congestion, on August 4, 2009 the City Council approved an ordinance restricting trucks with 3 or more axles from traveling on the left most lane of Interstate Highway 10 (I-10). Please note the Texas Department of Transportation has now finalized the installation of signs along I-10 required for this new restriction.
Reminder: Local requirements for residential pools, spas and hot tubs
As part of an ongoing initiative, the Development Services Department would like to remind the community that there are established local requirements already in place and key information available emphasizing safety tools for residential swimming pools, spas and hot tubs.
Reminder: Approved FY2010 Changes to take effect
On August 25, 2009, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2010 budget for the City of El Paso. Please note that as part of the approved budget resolution, effective September 1, 2009 the Development Services Department will have in place a new uniform Commercial Building Permit and contractor registration and fee requirement.
