El Paso International Airport Art Windows of El Paso
Presents the works of Carmen Navar
El Paso International Airport in collaboration with the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department presented the works of local Artist Carmen Navar at the Art Windows of El Paso. The ribbon cutting and opening reception took place on Wednesday November 7, 2007 in the first floor meeter/greeter area. Ms. Navar signed autographs during the reception. The exhibits will be displayed through February 24, 2008 and is open to the public.
Carmen Navar, having been raised among the beautiful sunsets and sunrises of Texas, learned the first forms of art from her mother, an accomplished artist. Her creative life continued to develop through school and private teachers. Her art evolved into embossing on soft metals and Fine Art. Today, Carmen speaks the language of color, passion and energy through metal, acrylic and mixed media. Using vivid colors and harmony of design, these elements express Carmen's spontaneity, love of life and sense of being.
