Mayor's Youth Art Showcase
The Mayor's Youth Art Showcase and the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Awards will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13 at a new home for the event, right here at City Hall located on the first floor of the building at the People's Gallery.
A very special thanks to the Museum and Cultural Affairs Department for their support. The Mayor's Showcase is an avenue to honor teenage and professional artists in the community as they depict their image of Dr. King in their drawings and paintings. In addition the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award will be given out to two teens and one adult that have displayed an act of kindness or heroism towards another person. Mayor John Cook will be on hand to award the certificates and honors to the participants. For more information call Eliseo Duran at 533-3311.
