SmartCode OnSite Workshop to take place
The City of El Paso in conjunction with PlaceMakers, LLC will host a FREE workshop on
SmartCode January 11, 2008 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Main Library located at 501 N.
Oregon.
Consultants from PlaceMakers, LLC will illustrate the flexibility of development the
SmartCode provides for creating neighborhoods with a sense of place. The SmartCode
is an alternative to conventional codes and can be adopted by cities in order to
encourage smart growth. The key tools in understanding this process will be
discussed, as well as examples of placemaking in other cities and regions.
