SmartCode OnSite Workshop to take place

The City of El Paso in conjunction with PlaceMakers, LLC will host a FREE workshop on SmartCode January 11, 2008 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Main Library located at 501 N. Oregon.

Consultants from PlaceMakers, LLC will illustrate the flexibility of development the SmartCode provides for creating neighborhoods with a sense of place. The SmartCode is an alternative to conventional codes and can be adopted by cities in order to encourage smart growth. The key tools in understanding this process will be discussed, as well as examples of placemaking in other cities and regions.
Please note interested individuals may RSVP by calling 541-4730 or 541-4238 by January 2, 2008.
