Every Student Can Call Crime Stoppers for Help
Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc. has an important message for every child attending school in El Paso. If a student knows anything about a crime that has been committed, or one that is about to be committed, there is a place to report that information.
That place is Crime Stoppers. Anyone, no matter how young, can call the Crime Stoppers tip hotline at 566-TIPS (566-8477) twenty-four hours-a-day, seven days-a-week, to report information about a crime.
Whether the crime is on campus or off, their information will be forwarded to the law enforcement agency best suited to handle it. Students can also submit tips online at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org. In both cases, they can remain anonymous and be eligible to receive a cash reward if the tip leads to an arrest.
In the past, some students may have believed they could not contact Crime Stoppers if there were no Campus Crime Stoppers Club at their school. Or they may have felt they could not contact the organization if their tip information concerned an off-campus situation. This is not so.
Any student at any school in El Paso County can contact Crime Stoppers from their school or from home any day, at any time. If it is school information, it will be passed on to school district police or security to investigate. If it is about something off-campus, it will be referred to the proper law enforcement agency.
Remember: If you know something, tell someone. Keep your campus safe.
