Parks & Recreation: After-School Programs
The Parks & Recreation Department has multiple after-school programs that kids of all ages can participate in and enjoy. After-school programs provide a social environment and safe haven where youth can congregate and learn to live and work together.
After-school programs will offer activities that fall within each of the following areas:
Sports Activities
Health & Fitness Activities
Environmental & Ecological Activities
Arts & Crafts
Performing Arts
The participants will be exposed to activities that will help develop essential skills in creativity, communication, problem solving, teamwork and self-direction. Programs take place from 3-6 p.m. on weekdays, for 6-8 weeks, respectively. For more information on programs that are being offered at a Recreation center in your neighborhood, please call 541-4331.
