Westside Community Center

The Center will be hosting various public presentations by the City-County Health and Environmental District on the following dates:

August 8th - Exercise and Nutrition (English)
August 22nd - Exercise and Nutrition (Spanish)

Other classes that you may register for at the Westside Community Center are Salsa, Yoga, Spanish Classes and even weight room facilities. $20 / month.

Armijo Community Center

The following services are offered at the Armijo Community Center:

• Aerobics Class: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., only $15.00 / month
• Boxing Classes: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., only $7.00 / month
• Weight Room: Monday - Thursday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., $10 / per month

• Summer Festival Dance
  Friday, August 3rd from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. "Grupo Melao" is the band and the public is welcome. Entry will be $5 per person.



• Hawaiian Dance
  Friday, August 17th between 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Music will be provided by "Los Galaxies" and awards to be given for best Hawaiian costumes. Entrance is $5 at the door and the public is welcome to come.



• Birthday Dance
  Friday, August 31st, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Performing will be "Chito Gonzalez and his band" and the public is welcome. Entrance fee: $5 per person.



• Community Health Fair
  This event is co-sponsored by Hilos de Plata and Pasadena Neighborhood Association, and is planned for late August. The Center is currently looking for exhibitors for the event.
