Downtown Construction Update: Holiday Traffic
A City initiative reconstructing and improving several streets in the downtown area commenced early this year closing access to traffic throughout the construction phases. In an effort to alleviate the expected increase in traffic volumes during the upcoming holiday season, the City will not initiate another project in this area and will provide additional access to traffic.
The following projects currently underway are expected to complete and open in December:
- Oregon from Franklin to Wyoming
- Mills from Stanton to Campbell
The latest closure on Santa Fe Street will have partial access open to traffic prior to the Christmas Holiday.
- Santa Fe from Montestruc to the extension onto the Border Highway
