Celebrate Bike Month in the El Paso Community
On May 19, 2006 the City of El Paso is launching the first annual Bike-to-Work Day and marks the 50th Anniversary of National Bike Month, sponsored by the American League of Bicyclists. The Pan American Health Organization reports that in our city, 67.8 percent of women and 76.6 percent of men are overweight or obese. Additionally, over 10 percent of our population has diabetes. Bike-to-Work Day is a good step towards a healthier future for El Pasoans.
To participate in the Bike-to-Work Day festivities, please contact (915) 541-4123.
