Parks and Recreation Aquatics Division Offers Myriad Activities
The Aquatics section will have their next session of Water Aerobics starting on April 1. The classes are for all ages and are offered at all indoor pools. A minimum of six participants is needed for the classes to make. Sign up for one of their water aerobics classes @ only $25.00 per month.
Lap swimming is also offered for $1.50 per visit at each indoor pool. The next session of the Gus and Goldie Learn to Swim program will be on April 2. The classes are $30 per month and the classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. The actual times will vary at each indoor pool. A minimum of four students are needed for a class to make.
Another event coming soon will be an Aquatic Pool Safety Seminar that will be geared to people that own or manage a privately owned pool. There will be representatives from the Fire/Police Departments, City/County Health District and the American Red Cross, as well as staff from the Aquatics department of the Parks and Recreation Department. Vendors from various pool supply and pool building companies will be on available also. This much needed workshop is free. For more information, please call 533-3207.
