Pollard Park Maintenance
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will be taking over the maintenance of Pollard Park next to Fort Bliss beginning February 1, 2008. We will be replacing the flags as needed and the litter clean up and emptying of trashcans in the park will be done through Taskmasters, a group we contract with for cleaning our parks. We will also be providing maintenance as needed for the area. The Streets Department for the City of El Paso previously maintained the Park.
Swing Sets Coming to Northeast
Swing sets are being placed throughout the city by Parks & Recreation. There are about 12 swing sets in the El Paso area currently and will continue along that path for the future. Projected swing set sites for the Northeast El Paso are Arlington, Sue Young, Todd Ware and Veterans Park. They should be up in the next 12-18 months, funding permitting. We are also about to acquire a new park in Northeast El Paso by the regional park next to Barron Elementary School that will be developed in the future.
