U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Congratulates the City of El Paso

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) conducted its annual review of the City of El Paso's Consolidated Annual Plan Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2005-2006. The purpose of this yearly review is to determine that the City and each of the City's subrecepients that receives funding assistance from HUD, is in compliance with all applicable statutes and has the continuing capacity to implement and administer the programs for which assistance is received. This annual assessment covers the review of three grant programs: The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and the Home Investment Partnerships Grant (HOME).

HUD's evaluation determined that the City of El Paso, is in compliance with the statutes and has the continuing capacity to implement and administer the programs for which assistance is received. The City's Department of Community and Human Development administers these programs. HUD congratulates the City of El Paso for the accomplishments during the past year and the performance on the following areas:

As a result of our evaluation we have determined that the City of El Paso has carried out its programs substantially as described in its Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan as implemented complies with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act and other applicable laws and regulations, and the City has the continuing capacity to carry out its approved programs in a timely manner.
