Downtown Construction Update: Current Projects Underway

As part of the ongoing efforts in the City initiative addressing the major reconstruction of streets in the downtown area, construction began on the second segment of Franklin from Mesa to Campbell on Monday, January 15, 2006.

The project forms part of the Central Business District III (CBD III) City initiative, and the scope of work will include the removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement, sidewalks, driveways and existing traffic signals and street lighting. The improvement project will also upgrade all existing water and sanitary sewer lines. The public is advised of the site as construction is expected to last approximately four months with completion in May.
