Purpose
The City of El Paso’ Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy is a comprehensive community-building approach based on resident input to create strategies that are holistic in their focus to improve the neighborhood appearance and the quality of life for residents in distresses neighborhood. A Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy is a written document setting forth goals, objectives, tasks, potential community partnerships, cost estimates, potential resources and measurable outcomes for a defined geographical area. A Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy is essentially a guide to focus municipal and community efforts in a targeted neighborhood for a five-year period. It is also a tool for the City and other community organizations to apply for additional federal and private funding opportunities to expand programs and services.
