Animal Cruelty Heartline of El Paso: CALL TO REPORT ANIMAL ABUSE (915) 833-1737 Hotline (Remain Anonymous)
Animal Cruelty calls will be kept confidential and be investigated. Animal Cruelty Heartline has rescued, rehabilitated and found loving homes for many starved, neglected and abused animals suffering in our City. Aimed at educating the public on Animal Cruelty Laws.

Humane Society:
Adoption of surrendered animals, spay-neuter services, and also provides several services including tours, and cremation-burials. Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week. The cost for a pet under four (4) months of age is $75; other adoptions cost $83.

Animal Rescue League of El Paso:
Adoption of surrendered animals or animals rescued from euthanasia at Animal Control. 7256 La Junta, Canutillo. The shelter is open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Closed Mondays. Cost is $90 for dogs and $80 for cats. It is a NO KILL shelter.

Pet Guardian Angel:
Adoption of surrendered animals. Show dogs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. most Sundays at Petsmart East, 10501 Gateway West. The adoption fee is $85 for dogs, which includes spay/neuter services, microchip, heartworm test, tattoo, collar, tag, leash, shots and health guarantee, etc. It is a NO KILL shelter.

Southwest Collie Rescue:
Non-profit rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption center for lost or abandoned dogs. SWCR's mission is to help collies in need, regardless of age, gender, or medical condition, and is a No-Kill organization. Rescue, rehabilitates and adopts homeless collies into loving forever homes. Our adopters go through a careful screening process which includes a home visit before a collie is placed into the home. Collies are fostered in private homes until they are adopted. Foster families are also screened through a written application and home visit. Desperately in need of foster homes.

From the Heart Animal Rescue: From The Heart is a coalition of experienced volunteers, dedicated to caring for the hurt and frightened victims of accident, disease, cruelty and neglect. We provide life-saving surgeries, medications and special care that other organizations are not able or willing to give. Once restored to health, we then work diligently to find each animal a permanent loving home.

Greyhound Pets of America/Lone Star Greyhounds:
Places retired racing greyhounds in loving homes. Adoptions available after screening and adoption contract agreement. Adoption fee is $185, includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, dental, worming, racing history, grooming, microchip registration, collar and lead, identification tags and handbook. Ages range from 18 months and up.

Friends of Animals:
Low-cost spay/neuter services offered for kittens. Kittens are up for adoption at several neighborhood locations. The cost is $20 males, $35 females. The Friends group also accepts kittens for adoption (call for details).

C.U.R.E.:
Cats @ UTEP Rescue Effort, a student organization dedicated to the humane solution of decreasing the number of cats on the UTEP campus. Cost for adoptions are $30, which includes leukemia and feline aids testing, shots and spay/neuter services. Call for an appointment.

Animal Control Officers are trained to respond to any animal cruelty or neglect call. The officers respond and investigate all animal cruelty and neglect calls made by the public. Hundreds of our community animals are picked up off the street or taken by owners who turn them in because they do not want them anymore - they are put up for adoption at Animal Control's new facility. Animal regulation enforces animal control laws using Title 7 health and safety code and state laws.
Adoptions are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday. The cost is $65 (dogs and cats). The public can view for Lost Animals and possible Adoptions on a 24-7 schedule in the A, B, and C, kennels which are located on the eastside of the main office (outdoors).

Note: Pets with tags will be kept for only 5 days, Pets without tags will only be kept for 3 days then they will be euthanized.
