The El Paso Museum of Art offers a year-round schedule of hands-on educational opportunities for families, children, teens and adults. Studio art classes and workshops are taught by a dedicated faculty of experienced artists and art educators. Classes include instruction in drawing, painting, pottery/clay, printmaking and mixed media.
Whenever possible, classes focus on artworks in the Museum's permanent collection or traveling exhibitions. Creative problem solving and art-making activities are integrated into each class. Pre-registration is required for all classes, camps and workshops. Unless specified, courses do not have any prerequisites. All levels of experience are welcome.
Summer art camps are offered on a weekly basis and offer a variety of art instruction for children that include drawing, painting, papermaking, puppet-making, mask-making, creative writing, jewelry-making, beading, weaving, architecture, printmaking, mosaics, collage, mixed media and more. To ensure that students will receive high quality individualized instruction classes are limited to 15 students.
