6:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Double Vision.  Join members of the U.S. Green Building Council Chihuahuan Desert Chapter for an evening exploring the intersections of art and sustainability.  Artists Rachelle Thiewes and Suzi Davidoff will join Nicole Ferrini, founder of Uncommon in discussing the different ways in which artists and environmentalists can look at the same artwork.  Their conversation will focus on pieces in Vanishing Ice: Alpine and Polar Landscapes 1775-2012.  Mix and mingle over drinks afterward and start you own conversations.  Free admission to the exhibit and cash bar provided.

5:30 PM - Artists on Art with Gabriel Basurto.  Artists on Art - located at the El Paso Museum of Art (EPMA) provides local artists an opportunity to exhibit one work of art in any media accompanied by a 30 minute discussion on their work and its relation to the Museum`s permanent collection.  There are four exhibits per year and the work is exhibited for a three-month period.  Artists interested in being featured in Artists on Art are encouraged to contact Christian Gerstheimer, Curator at (915) 532-1707 x 20.  Free.
