Class Description:
For adult students ages 18 and over. Practice your life drawing skills in this self-guided, self-paced class. Amateur students and professional artists are welcome. Paper, pencils, charcoal and pastels will be provided or you may bring your own drawing or painting supplies. Easels will also be provided. Please be advised: live nude models are the focus of this drawing class. No visitors will be allowed. No photography of any kind is permitted. Participants who fail to follow EPMA policies will immediately be asked to leave. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Dates of sessions: Nov 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10, and 17. Price is per session.

Wheel-throwing (ages 15 +)

Students will learn basic wheel throwing skills including centering, opening, pulling, shaping and forming vessels, along with the glazing process. Work to enhance individual development through functional and decorative projects. An allotted amount of clay will be provided; additional supply list will be discussed during the first session. Space is limited. *Member price of $72 given to members at the family membership level or higher.

This class will focus on principles of design and color, along with composition and technique. Students will learn proper use of tools and paintin order to achieve desired effects. Both beginning and intermediate students are welcome. The instructor will work with students based on their individual needs. A supply list will be provided on the first day of class. Retablo Painting (Ages 15 and up)

Make a retablo that is reflective of “right now” using the narrative theme of borders within ourselves and the relationship of geographical borders. Acrylic paint and mediums on wood panels will be used to illustrate these ideas. Students will learn elements of design and composition to create interesting retablos. Both beginning and intermediate students are welcome. Instructor will provide a supply list if needed. 6 sessions.
