Research
Studies of artifacts and other American Indian manifestations are conducted in the museum and the field. The extensive Casas Grandes ceramic collection has been used in the preparation of several MA and Ph.D. theses. The staff, professional archaeologists, and students from the University of Texas at El Paso and New Mexico State University conduct research. Recently the museum staff has embarked on field studies to record and interpret rock art in the surrounding area. These efforts have and will continue to lead to presentations at archaeological conferences, publications in professional journals and enhanced exhibits.
