Initiatives
New Téxico Initiative
Goal: To create a more fluid economic and cultural border between El Paso and Ciudad Juárez. The initiative would capitalize on both cities’ assets in attracting people and businesses. According to Richard Florida, capitalizing on these combined resources “is the quickest way to put El Paso on the stage as a major player with the potential of being a binational mega region.”
