Engineering Services Storm 2006 Capital Project Update The ongoing effort to address the critical infrastructure in areas most impacted as a result of Storm 2006 continues as a top priority. The initiative has provided for substantial improvements and a targeted focus on stormwater management capabilities citywide.   15 major reconstruction projects have been completed to date. Approximately 6 Priority I & II projects have construction underway. Construction sites are actively being monitored during inclement weather conditions. Upper Valley Drainage Improvements Project, Phase II & III As a significant component of this comprehensive initiative, the second and third phase of the Upper Valley Drainage Improvements Project mobilized recently, providing various street and drainage improvements to an expansive area. The overall project scope covers the area north of Mesa and Country Club and south of Redd. The second and third phase of the project will address drainage improvements specifically for the Charl Ann and Ocotillo area and the construction of a storm drainage system that will provide an outlet to Redd and Mulberry. Construction activity is anticipated in these areas throughout the next 13 months.
